Travel to, and around, RotoruaRotorua is located in the Bay of Plenty, North Island, New Zealand.

FlyingRotorua has a domestic airport but international flights do not fly to Rotorua. Your international flight is likely to arrive in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch or Hamilton. There are connecting domestic flights to Rotorua provided by Air New Zealand or through its domestic partner airlines. Flights from any of the international airports to Rotorua are likely to take less than an hour.Vehicle rental and drivingAnother alternative is to rent a vehicle. This can be done at the airport (where a number of international rental agencies have a presence), and you can arrange in advance if necessary.
