I teach Computer Science here at University Waikato. Over the years I have taught various courses such as introductory and not-so-introductory programming (in C++, Java, Visual Basic), databases & SQL, operating systems concepts, image processing, interactive application development using flash, human-computer interaction, OO programming and software engineering.
Prior to working at Waikato Uni, I worked at Bond University, Queensland, and I have also worked as a computer programmer and support consultant.
My research has been in the area of data mining/image processing applications such as face recognition, data mining/medicine applications such as modeling gene interactions, and I am also interested in online automated financial trading systems.
