Erase rectangle
Menu Tool
Explanation:
Acts similarly to the eraser tool, but will erase a rectangle from an object. Click at one corner and drag the mouse. A black rectangle will appear. When you release the mouse the shape of the rectangle will be erased from the object.
It can be used on any object, including patterned objects (though you cannot un-pattern the object afterwards).
The eraser tool works on objects at the front of the stage. If the object is not is this position it will be temporarily relocated at the front so that you can erase from it. When you release the mouse, the object will return to its place.
You can use it on the floor if you are in Top View. It will erase from any object on the floor, or from the floor colour itself if not object is on the floor.
