This paper covers an advanced treatment of the control of electromechanical systems, especially robotics. Topics covered include: microprocessor interfacing, active ranging systems, mechanical design, actuator selection, the physics of moving devices, system modelling, advanced control systems and artificial intelligence. A significant portion of the assessment is in the form of practical exercises.
