COMP314-09B Info and Project ideas

All projects will produce FOSS (free open source software) under a GPL license.
Development generally will be Java-based.

Groups must comprise 5 or 6 members.

Groups must be able to meet with the lecturer every week
for 30-60 minutes using one of the following time-slots:

 Tue 10-11, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5
 Wed 10-11, 11-12, 12-1, 4-5
 Thu 10-11, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5

Groups choose a project idea from the list below,
or may also suggest their own, subject to approval
by the lecturer.

Groups will need a name: all lowercase, one word,
at least 8 characters

You have one week for this task, i.e. to form
or find yourself a group

The lecture on Monday 20th will be used for the
final assignment of students to groups, and of
projects to groups; students who habe not found a 
group by then will be assigned to groups at random.

There will be no other lectures in the first week.

Starting from the second week, there will be 
single hour lectures Monday|Wednesday|Thursday,
plus a weekly group meeting with the lecturer.
