COMP314-09B Info and Project ideas ---------------------------------------------------------------------- All projects will produce FOSS (free open source software) under a GPL license. Development generally will be Java-based. Groups must comprise 5 or 6 members. Groups must be able to meet with the lecturer every week for 30-60 minutes using one of the following time-slots: Tue 10-11, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 Wed 10-11, 11-12, 12-1, 4-5 Thu 10-11, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 Groups choose a project idea from the list below, or may also suggest their own, subject to approval by the lecturer. Groups will need a name: all lowercase, one word, at least 8 characters You have one week for this task, i.e. to form or find yourself a group The lecture on Monday 20th will be used for the final assignment of students to groups, and of projects to groups; students who habe not found a group by then will be assigned to groups at random. There will be no other lectures in the first week.
