• "Beethoven Lives Upstairs" is an excellent CDROM with music and educational music games.
• Howling Dog Software makes Mr DrumStik, some nice music teaching software for children. There is a demo version, and the full version is just US$9.95.

MIDI Sequencers and Composition/Accompanist Tools

• I use Band-in-a-Box, from PG Music. Type in some chords, and it will improvise over them while you play the tune or some other part.
• The Jammer Live system from SoundTrekis similar to Band-in-a-Box. Voyetra have a similar range of products: MIDI/audio sequencers, plus accompanist programs.
• Anvil Studio is a free Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP program for MIDI and Audio recording and composition. The free version has good MIDI support, but limited audio support.

Jazz Books/Tuition CDs/Software
