The New, Save, Save As, and Exit menu provide functionality as expected. The file format used is XML BIF [6].
There are two file formats supported for opening
.xml for XML BIF files. The Bayesian network is reconstructed
from the information in the file. Node width information is not stored so the nodes
are shown with the default width. This can be changed by laying out the graph
(menu Tools/Layout).
.arff Weka data files. When an arff file is selected, a new
empty Bayesian network is created with nodes for each of the attributes
in the arff file. Continuous variables are discretized using the
weka.filters.supervised.attribute.Discretize filter (see note at end of
this section for more details). The network
structure can be specified and the CPTs learned using the Tools/Learn CPT
menu.
The Print menu works (sometimes) as expected.
The Export menu allows for writing the graph panel to image (currently supported are bmp, jpg, png and eps formats). This can also be activated using the Alt-Shift-Left Click action in the graph panel.
