Programme

CHINZ 2011 will be held on the 4th and 5th of July 2011 and will include the ACM SIGCHI NZ Annual General Meeting.

The conference will feature two Keynote Speakers: Holger Regenbrecht and Trent Mankelow.

Holger Regenbrecht

photograph of Holger Regenbrecht Holger Regenbrecht is an Associate Professor at the University of Otago's Information Science department. He has been working in the fields of Virtual and Augmented Reality for over 15 years and was initiator and manager of the Virtual Reality Laboratory at Bauhaus University Weimar (Germany) and the Mixed Reality Laboratory at DaimlerChrysler Research and Technology (Ulm, Germany). Currently he leads the Multimedia Systems Research Laboratory at the University of Otago. His research interests include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Applied Computer Science and Information Technology, (collaborative) Augmented Reality, 3D Teleconferencing, psychological aspects of Mixed Reality, three-dimensional user interfaces (3DUI) and computer-aided therapy and rehabilitation.

Trent Mankelow

photograph of Trent Mankelow Trent Mankelow is the co-founder and CEO of Optimal Usability, New Zealand's leading usability consultancy company. Since 2002 Optimal Usability has observed over 4,500 people interacting with all sorts of touchpoints, including websites, paper forms, kiosks, websites and interactive voice response systems. Trent regularly speaks on customer experience, self-service and usability.
